What this site stores, where, for how long, and who can see it.

Reading the archive

Reading, searching, filtering and exporting need no account and no wallet, and the site runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

  • Your browser may store your theme (unrepost-theme), time display (unrepost-tz), screenshot view (unrepost-screenshot-view) and translation language (unrepost-lang) in local storage. The preference values stay on your device. Change the screenshot view in Settings, or clear saved preferences in your browser settings.
  • Search runs entirely in your browser against a bundled index. Your queries are not sent anywhere. Filter state appears in the page address so that you can share it.
  • Meme lab and source cards are drawn in your browser. Captions and images are not uploaded.
  • Translation (in the Time & language drawer and Settings) is off by default. When you choose a language, the visible text of each page you read is sent from your browser to Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com) and replaced in place; translations are cached for the browser session. Nothing is sent to Google until you choose a language, and choosing English stops it. Google handles that text under its own policies.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages and protect the service, under Cloudflare’s own policies. UNREPOST does not add tracking to those logs.

Correction submissions

When correction intake is enabled, the form sends what you enter to the site’s own API. It is stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database that is never exposed publicly.

  • The optional source URL is stored as text for a person to look at. Our server never visits it.
  • Submissions are not published automatically. If your correction leads to a change, the public revision note describes the change, not you. We will not name you unless you ask us to.
  • At most 2,000 submissions are kept at a time. When that limit is reached, the form says so instead of deleting older evidence.
  • To ask for your submission to be deleted early, send a new correction marked “privacy” that quotes enough of your original for us to find it.

Token

The token page reads public Solana data about the project’s configured mint through the site’s own API. No wallet is connected, and no address or key of yours is requested or stored.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare Turnstile, when shown, may use its own short-lived signals to tell people from bots.
