Two kinds of image
- Source cards, from Create source card on any receipt. These are factual. They carry no satire styling and no caption.
- Meme lab images, from the meme lab. These are four original illustrated templates (receipt printer, undo arrow, case folder, newspaper panel) with a short caption.
What every image carries
- The receipt ID and its permanent link.
- The event date and the archive’s research cutoff.
- The receipt’s claim label in words, such as “ALLEGATION: a party’s claim, not a finding”.
- An independence mark.
- Meme lab images also carry a visible SATIRE · ILLUSTRATION, NOT A SCREENSHOT label.
These are drawn by the template itself. A caption cannot remove or cover them.
How they are made
Your browser draws each image from a single scene description. PNG files come from a canvas, and SVG files come from the same scene with the site’s own fonts embedded. Nothing is uploaded, no image-generation service is used, and nothing is posted to X, Telegram or anywhere else.
Captions
Choose an approved caption or write up to 80 characters. Captions are plain text: control characters are stripped, and SVG output is escaped. File names are fixed patterns such as unrepost-printer-r-b03-square.png and never include your text.
Please keep captions about public conduct and product decisions. Illustrations are deliberately generic and dashed. They are not designed to pass as leaked screenshots, and they carry no one’s signature, platform badge or court seal.
